The spring rate is 5 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

The GT86 is a light rear-wheel drive car that is already a lot of fun to drive, and the BR series suits drivers who use it every day and occasionally take it to a track day or autocross. BC Racing builds the BR as an all-rounder: monotube dampers with a linear piston, a ride height that you set independently of the spring preload and 30 clicks to fine-tune the damping.

With equal springs of 5 kg/mm front and rear, the car stays pleasant for everyday driving, while you decide how low it sits and how firmly it damps.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs front and rear. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic. On some cars the pillowball top mount at the front requires a small modification to the upper mounting; if in doubt, contact us. After setting the ride height, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has the kit out of stock, you can still order and we will let you know when it will be delivered.

In addition, BC Racing has its own kits for the BRZ with an F-20 number and different spring rates. This kit is not intended for the Toyota GR86 (ZN8) from 2022.

What is the difference between the BC Racing BR and DS for the Toyota GT86?

The BR coilover kit GT86 has a linear piston and is made for the road with the occasional track day, the DS has a digressive piston and is more track-focused. The DS damps more firmly at low piston speeds of 0 to 50 mm/s and has a satin chrome damper body. For the GT86 both have 30 clicks and 5/5 kg/mm springs.
