The MTS E30 is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW E30 Sedan, Cabrio and Touring, model years 1982 to 1994. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Note: not suitable for versions with four-wheel drive (325iX). Axle load: maximum 865 kg front and maximum 1030 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

Also suitable for versions with M-Technik (M package).

Fitting and delivery

The MTS E30 replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.
