The MTS Stance E91 Touring xDrive Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW E91 Touring, model years 2004 to 2012. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.
On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Fitting and delivery
The MTS Stance E91 Touring xDrive Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.
- The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
- When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
- Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
- Sometimes extra original parts are needed for fitting; these are not included in the set.
- After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Does this kit also fit a rear-wheel-drive version?
No. The MTS Stance E91 Touring xDrive Inox is made for the xDrive (four-wheel-drive) versions. MTS Technik has separate kits for rear-wheel drive.
What is the difference between Comfort, Street and Stance?
All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (24-47.5 and 100 N/mm), Street (60 and 100 N/mm) and Stance (70 and 120 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.
What is the difference between Gold and Inox?
Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
