The MTS Stance Scirocco 3 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Volkswagen Scirocco 3 / Beetle 5C, model years 2008 to 2019. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Note for the MTS Stance Scirocco 3 Inox: only for cars with a multilink rear axle. Axle load: maximum 1090 kg front and maximum 880 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

If the car has Audi Magnetic Ride (AMR), that system must be disabled. A suitable module for this is only available on request.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Stance Scirocco 3 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Sometimes the rear height adjuster has to be removed to achieve the maximum lowering.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After fitting the MTS Stance Scirocco 3 Inox, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

What is the difference between Street and Stance?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Street (32 and 27-45 N/mm) and Stance (80 N/mm). Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
