The MTS Stance Tiguan 5N Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Volkswagen Tiguan 5N and Audi Q3 8U, model years 2007 to 2020. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Stance Tiguan 5N Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• The rear height adjustment must be fitted exactly as described in the manual.
• After fitting the MTS Stance Tiguan 5N Inox, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Street (43.6 N/mm) and Stance (42.5-75 and 43.6 N/mm). Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
