The MTS Street A6 C5 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Audi A6 C5, Volkswagen Passat B5/B5.5 and Skoda Superb 1, model years 1996 to 2008. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Note for the MTS Street A6 C5 Inox: not suitable for versions with four-wheel drive (quattro, 4Motion or 4×4). Only for cars without electronically controlled damping. Axle load: maximum 1100 kg front and maximum 1185 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street A6 C5 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (quattro, 4Motion or 4×4) version?

No. The MTS Street A6 C5 Inox is not suitable for the four-wheel-drive versions. MTS Technik has separate sets for that.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.

How long does delivery take?
