The MTS Street Ateca Gold is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Cupra Ateca / Formentor, Volkswagen Tiguan AD1 / Tiguan Allspace, Audi Q3 F3, Seat Ateca and Skoda Karoq, from model year 2016. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street Ateca Gold replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• If the lower spring seat on your car is one piece with the spring and cannot be removed, use the lower spring seat with VW part number 5Q0 512 297 F.
• After fitting the MTS Street Ateca Gold, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (4Drive, 4Motion, quattro or 4×4) version?

No. The MTS Street Ateca Gold is not suitable for the four-wheel-drive versions.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
