The MTS Street Audi 80 B3 quattro Gold is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Audi 80 B3 / 90 B3 / Coupe B3 with four-wheel drive (quattro), model years 1986 to 1996. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street Audi 80 B3 quattro Gold replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• After fitting the MTS Street Audi 80 B3 quattro Gold, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

No. The MTS Street Audi 80 B3 quattro Gold is made for the four-wheel-drive (quattro) versions. MTS Technik has separate kits for the front-wheel drive versions.

What is the difference between Comfort, Street and Stance?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (30-55 and 40 N/mm), Street (50 and 60 N/mm) and Stance (70 and 60 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
