The MTS Street Golf 4 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Volkswagen Golf 4 / Bora / New Beetle, Audi A3 8L / TT 8N, Seat Leon 1M / Toledo 1M and Skoda Octavia 1, model years 1996 to 2013. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street Golf 4 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• With a lowering of more than 40 mm, longer drop links for the anti-roll bar may be required.
• If the right driveshaft has a diameter of more than 42 mm, the maximum lowering is 15 mm less than stated.
• After fitting the MTS Street Golf 4 Inox, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (4Motion, quattro, 4Drive or 4×4) version?

No. The MTS Street Golf 4 Inox is not suitable for the four-wheel-drive versions.

What is the difference between Comfort, Street and Stance?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (50 and 28-55 N/mm), Street (60 and 28-55 N/mm) and Stance (80 and 60 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
