The MTS Street Z4 E85 E86 Gold is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW Z4 E85 and E86, model years 2002 to 2009. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.
On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Fitting and delivery
The MTS Street Z4 E85 E86 Gold replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.
- The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
- When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
- Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
- Sometimes extra original parts are needed for fitting; these are not included in the set.
- After fitting the MTS Street Z4 E85 E86 Gold, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (24-47.5 and 46-90.1 N/mm), Street (60 and 46-90.1 N/mm) and Stance (70 and 260 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.
What is the difference between Gold and Inox?
Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
