The BC Racing ZR coilover kit E90 E92 (part number I-03-ZR) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW 3 Series E90 Sedan and E92 Coupe with rear-wheel drive, excluding the M3, model years 2005 to 2011. The spring rate is 6.5 kg/mm front and 10 kg/mm rear.

The ZR series is the 3-way coilover kit from BC Racing for competitive motorsport. Depending on the suspension, BC Racing uses an inverted monotube (MacPherson) or an upright monotube (double wishbones), in each case with a twin piston and an external reservoir.

The external reservoir can be mounted on the body or on the damper body and is connected with braided steel lines. This version for the E90 and E92 has 6.5 kg/mm front and 10 kg/mm rear; you set the ride height fully independently of the spring preload.

Fitting and delivery

The ZR kit replaces the original dampers and springs and is vehicle-specific. We recommend having the fitting, including positioning the reservoirs, carried out by an experienced mechanic. BC Racing advises periodic greasing of the RM and ZR series and recommends them less for road use than the BR, DS, ER or ZX. After setting up, have a full wheel alignment carried out. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has the kit out of stock, you can still order and we will tell you when it arrives.

Both are 3-way adjustable (20/12/30 clicks) with an external reservoir, but the ZR is aimed at competitive motorsport.
