The BC Racing ZR coilover kit GR86 (part number C-185-ZR) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the Toyota GR86 (ZN8), from model year 2022. The spring rate is 5 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

The ZR series is the motorsport kit from BC Racing for competitive racing. The dual-piston dampers are 3-way adjustable: 20 clicks of low-speed compression, 12 clicks of high-speed compression and 30 clicks of rebound. The external reservoir can be mounted on the chassis or on the damper body and is connected with braided steel lines.

On the ZR, BC Racing uses an inverted monotube on MacPherson struts and an upright monotube on double wishbones. The damping is digressive, the oil synthetic, and you set the ride height completely independently of the spring preload. For the GR86, this is the kit for those who race.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic. BC Racing advises periodic greasing of the RM and ZR series and recommends them less for road use than the BR, DS, ER or ZX. After setting the ride height, have the alignment set to your race setup.
