The BC Racing ZX coilover kit RX-7 FD (part number N-02-ZX) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the Mazda RX-7 FD3S, model years 1991 to 2002. The spring rate is 10 kg/mm front and 8 kg/mm rear.

The ZX series combines the BC Racing DS and ER into a 3-way adjustable kit with external reservoir. It is intended for an RX-7 FD used in competition, long track sessions or demanding drift work.

You set three things separately: low-speed compression in 20 clicks, high-speed compression in 12 clicks and rebound in 30 clicks. The upright monotube dampers have a twin piston, digressive damping and racing oil with an ultra-high viscosity index. You will also find the same 10/8 kg/mm springs on the BR and DS kits for the FD; the difference here lies mainly in the dampers.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic, and make sure the reservoirs are clear of other parts. After setting the ride height, a new wheel alignment is needed. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing does not have the kit in stock, you can still order and we will keep you informed of the delivery date.
