Description
DriftMax Basic lock kit E46 (BMW 3 Series) up to 60° steering angle
The DriftMax Basic lock kit E46 gives your BMW 3 Series E46 up to 60° of steering angle and is made for drivers who want to learn to drift or regularly do track days. The kit is plug-and-play and works with the standard steering rack, suspension and brakes.
In this Basic version, DriftMax has replaced the hubs and bearings of the complete kit with steering lock adapters. That keeps the price competitive, while you get the same large steering angle without Ackermann effect. This kit can also be expanded to the Pro version later by buying just the hubs.
Note for the E46: the ends of the lower arms fit round E36-style control arm bushes or uniball bearings. The original hexagonal E46 bushes do not fit. That is why you can add the matching uniball lollipop brackets when you order.

Installation and delivery
You fit the kit in place of the original parts, without modifications to the steering rack, suspension or brakes. Check beforehand which control arm bushes are fitted to your E46: the kit does not fit with the original hexagonal bushes, but it does with round E36 bushes or the optional uniball lollipop brackets. After installation, the wheel alignment must be reset. The Basic lock kit E46 has a delivery time of 4 to 7 days.
The Basic lock kit E46 combines 60° of steering angle with a price that suits your first drift season.
Why choose this Basic lock kit E46?
The E46 is a strong base for drifting, but the standard steering lock soon holds you back. The Basic lock kit E46 solves that with up to 60° of steering angle and a geometry without Ackermann effect, without you having to buy a complete front axle straight away. If you want the maximum 70° from the start, take a look at the complete DriftMax lock kit for the E46.
Frequently asked questions

How much steering angle do I get?
Up to 60°. The complete DriftMax kit with its own hubs and bearings goes up to 70°.
Can I upgrade later?
