Seat Altea / Toledo 5P V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 355 mm 6-piston

The big brake kit Altea 355 mm from V-Maxx replaces the original front brakes of the Seat Altea and Toledo 5P with a complete performance brake kit featuring 355 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit is supplied ready to fit, with vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.

The kit is intended for track days and track use: more braking torque, a firm pedal and much less fade under repeated hard braking. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and supplies the kit with a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, so it is also approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and observe the tightening torques stated in them. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; a mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available as options: V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 620 mm (set of 2) for the front axle, with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid of 500 ml and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

The original front brakes of the Altea and Toledo 5P are designed for everyday use and quickly lose braking power under repeated hard braking. The big brake kit Altea 355 mm tackles that with larger discs, six pistons per caliper and plenty of aluminium: caliper, bracket and bell conduct heat about five times better than steel, and the discs have directional cooling channels. As a result, the kit cools down much faster and the braking behaviour stays consistent. With the TÜV approval, you drive to the track and back on the same kit.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 355 and 365 mm version?

Both kits have 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium and TÜV approval. The 365 mm kit (part number 20 SE365 04) has a larger disc and therefore more braking torque, but requires wheels of at least 19 inch. This 355 mm kit already fits behind 18 inch wheels.

Yes, definitely. An Altea or Toledo with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 355 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Does V-Maxx also have a kit for the rear axle?

No, V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle. That is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.
