Description
Seat Arosa V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 290 mm 4-piston (without ESP)
The big brake kit Arosa from V-Maxx is a complete performance brake kit for the front axle of the Seat Arosa (6H) without ESP, with 290 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit is supplied ready to fit, including vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.
With its 290 mm discs, the kit already fits behind 15 inch wheels. On the track and at track days it provides more braking torque, a firm pedal and much less fade. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer; the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, which means it is approved for use on public roads.
Key benefits
- Fits 15 inch wheels and larger thanks to the 290 mm disc size

Fitting and delivery
Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles, so check beforehand which knuckle is fitted to your Arosa. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; wash the kit with a mild soap. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.
Available as options: V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 460 mm (set of 2) for the front axle, with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, 500 ml of Ferodo brake fluid and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
A lightweight Arosa with 290 mm discs and forged 4-piston calipers: braking power that holds up even after a series of hard stops.
Why choose this big brake kit Arosa?
An Arosa used on the track demands more from its brakes than the standard set was designed for. The big brake kit Arosa gives you a larger disc diameter, more piston area and much better heat dissipation, because the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium and the discs have directional cooling channels. As a result, the braking power stays consistent under repeated hard braking. Thanks to the 290 mm discs, you can also keep using 15 inch wheels, provided the fitment template confirms this.
Frequently asked questions
Which version do I need: with or without ESP?
This kit (20 SE290 08) is for an Arosa without ESP and has TÜV approval. If your Arosa does have ESP, you need version 20 SE290 09; that version is only for cars with ESP and has no TÜV approval.
Does the big brake kit Arosa fit behind my wheels?
The big brake kit Arosa requires wheels of at least 15 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) whether the caliper has enough clearance; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.
Does V-Maxx also offer a kit for the rear axle?
No. V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle, because that is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.
Is the big brake kit Arosa suitable for a car with more power than standard?
Yes, definitely. An Arosa with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 290 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.
What is the delivery time?
