This big brake kit Evoque 355 mm from V-Maxx is a complete brake kit for the front axle of the Range Rover Evoque, with 355 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.

The Evoque is a compact SUV with a relatively high weight, and you notice that under repeated hard braking: the brakes have to convert a lot of energy into heat. This V-Maxx kit is built for that. The caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about 5 times better than steel, and the discs have directional cooling channels. As a result, the braking performance stays consistent, for example on a long descent.

The kit fits all Evoque versions from 110 to 213 kW, built from June 2011 to December 2019, and is supplied ready to fit with V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and adapters for the original rubber brake hoses. With a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, it is approved for use on public roads. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Evoque 355 mm according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, including the tightening torques. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium; a mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

The following options are available: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses 500 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

What is the difference between the 355 mm and the 365 mm kit for the Evoque?

Both kits have 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, fit the same Evoque versions from 110 to 213 kW and have TÜV approval. The big brake kit Evoque 355 mm (20 RR355 01) fits wheels from 18 inch. The 365 mm kit (20 RR365 01) has larger discs and therefore more braking torque, but requires wheels of at least 19 inch.

Does the kit fit behind my wheels?

You need wheels of at least 18 inch. Always check the clearance with the fitment template (WFC); a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Is the big brake kit Evoque 355 mm suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. An Evoque with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 355 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play so that they do not seize at high temperatures. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
