Description
Cupra Formentor V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston
The big brake kit Formentor 365 mm is the largest V-Maxx brake kit for the Cupra Formentor: 365 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium on the front axle.
This version is intended for the Formentor KM from July 2020 with steel steering knuckles and Ø55 mm front shock absorbers, from 77 to 228 kW, on wheels of at least 19 inch. The grooved high-carbon steel discs sit on ultra-light floating aluminium bells and have directional cooling channels. Because the caliper and bracket are also made of aluminium, the kit cools down much faster after heavy braking and the braking performance stays consistent.
The kit includes V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect. The Dutch manufacturer V-Maxx Autosport gives a 2-year warranty, and thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3 the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery
Fit the big brake kit Formentor 365 mm according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles, here the steel knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp. Clean the brake kit with mild soap and never with wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.
The kit can be extended with V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
The largest V-Maxx brake kit for the Formentor: 365 mm discs and six pistons per caliper for braking performance that stays consistent on the track.
Why choose this big brake kit Formentor 365?
If you run 19 inch wheels or larger, this kit gives the Formentor the largest disc in the V-Maxx range for this model. The larger diameter works with more leverage, while the aluminium calipers, brackets and bells, together with the cooling channels, ensure fast heat dissipation. This keeps the braking performance the same, even when you brake hard repeatedly. The kit is supplied complete, with a TÜV certificate and a 2-year warranty.
Frequently asked questions
When do I choose 365 mm instead of 355 mm?
When you run wheels of 19 inch or larger and want the largest disc. Both kits have 6-piston calipers and the same application; the big brake kit Formentor 365 mm requires at least 19 inch, while the 355 mm kit (20 SE355 21) fits from 18 inch.
Is the big brake kit Formentor 365 mm suitable for a car with more power than standard?
Yes, definitely. A Formentor with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 365 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.
Can I use this kit on the track?
Yes. The aluminium parts and the directional cooling channels in the discs ensure that the kit cools down quickly, even under repeated hard braking. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.
Is it normal for the brake pads to click?
Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
