Description
Mazda 6 GH / GJ / GL V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston
The big brake kit Mazda 6 from V-Maxx is a complete upgrade for the front axle of the Mazda 6 GH, GJ and GL, with 330 mm two-piece, grooved brake discs and forged aluminium 4-piston calipers. You get everything in one box, from the sport brake pads to the vehicle-specific adapters.
A Mazda 6 is a spacious car that gathers pace effortlessly, and that is exactly when you want brakes that can keep up. Where the original brakes lose their bite under repeated hard braking, the big brake kit Mazda 6 keeps braking consistently. You notice that at a track day, but also on a brisk drive through the Ardennes. The kit comes from the Dutch manufacturer V-Maxx Autosport and, with a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, it is approved for use on public roads.
Key benefits
- Larger 330 mm discs for more braking torque on the front axle
- Consistent braking performance under repeated hard braking thanks to fast heat dissipation
- Forged aluminium 4-piston calipers, red RAL 3020 as standard and optionally in a different colour
- Two-piece discs made of high-carbon steel on ultra-light floating aluminium bells
- V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval are included in the kit as standard
- Vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect
- Road legal thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3

Fitting and delivery
When fitting the big brake kit Mazda 6, always follow the V-Maxx fitting instructions. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Use a mild soap for cleaning, as wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium parts. If you often take the car on track, remove the dust seals from the calipers, as V-Maxx advises.
Extra options for the big brake kit Mazda 6: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval, for the Mazda including a convex-concave adapter set), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid 500 ml, a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
Not only more disc, but above all more cooling capacity: that is how the V-Maxx kit keeps the brakes of your Mazda 6 sharp at the moment you need them.
Why choose this big brake kit Mazda 6?
Fade occurs when brakes cannot get rid of their heat. This big brake kit Mazda 6 tackles that at the source: the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about 5 times better than steel, and the discs have directional cooling channels that carry the heat outwards. As a result, the kit cools down much faster and you keep braking consistently, even after a series of hard stops. Combine that with a complete delivery, TÜV approval and a 2-year warranty, and you know exactly what you are getting.
Frequently asked questions
Is the big brake kit Mazda 6 suitable for a car with more power than standard?
Yes, definitely. A car with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 330 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. With an officially approved power upgrade, the TÜV approval remains valid.
Which wheels do I need for the big brake kit Mazda 6?
For the big brake kit Mazda 6 you need wheels of at least 17 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) whether your wheels clear the calipers; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.
Is it normal for the brake pads to click?
Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
Which options can I order with it?
You can choose a different caliper colour, Steelflex steel braided brake hoses, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid, a wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo DS Performance brake pads. Please note: those Ferodo pads have no TÜV approval.
