This big brake kit Rekord E from V-Maxx is designed for the front axle of the Opel Rekord E and consists of 290 mm two-piece brake discs with floating aluminium bells and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit fits all versions of the Rekord E built from 11-1977 to 10-1986.

If you use the Rekord E on the track or at a club event, that puts heavy demands on the brakes. This V-Maxx kit gives more braking power and dissipates heat quickly through the aluminium calipers, brackets and bells, so fade sets in much later. V-Maxx has no TÜV approval for this version: the kit is mainly intended for track use, and you check for yourself whether you are allowed to use it on public roads in your situation.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the parts according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions included with the kit, using the tightening torques stated in those instructions. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Do not clean the brake kit with wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is sufficient. If you use the car hard on the track, V-Maxx advises removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available as options: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (460 mm, set of 2, with PTFE inner hose), 500 ml of Ferodo brake fluid and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
