This E36 aluminium radiator with integrated expansion tank is the plug-and-play cooling upgrade for all petrol E36 models (except the M3). The original radiator with plastic end tanks and the separate expansion tank are well-known weak points: they crack with age and no longer cool sufficiently on track. This TIG-welded aluminium radiator solves both problems in one go.

Thanks to the integrated expansion tank, the radiator has an OEM fit and the separate tank is no longer needed. That saves fitting time and gives a tidier engine bay. The twin-row core measuring 44 x 44 x 5 cm dissipates heat far better than the original, keeping engine temperatures low and stable even during track days and drift sessions.

Fitting and delivery

Drain the coolant, remove the original radiator, the separate expansion tank and the hoses, and fit the aluminium radiator to the same mounting points. Connect the hoses to the integrated expansion tank, fill the system and bleed it via the bleed screw. Allow two to three hours of work. The radiator is supplied to order; the delivery time is 4 to 7 days.
