Description
AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Touring V3 NASCAR door
The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E30 Touring V3 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW E30 with 5-door Touring bodywork. Instead of the single door bar, this Multipoint E30 Touring V3 NASCAR has several curved tubes in the door, and it is designed for the rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring.
The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drifters who run side by side and want heavier protection for the most exposed side of the car.
Key benefits
- NASCAR door bars with several curved tubes per door absorb a side impact over a much larger area.
- More shoulder room, as the tubes are bent outwards.
- Front reinforcement bars to the bulkhead are part of this specification.
- Ten welded mounting points instead of the eight on a standard weld-in cage.
- E355 steel, main hoop 45 mm and rest of the structure 40 mm.
- Complete weld-in kit with gussets, reinforcement plates and mounting hardware.

Fitting and delivery
The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. NASCAR door bars extend further into the door, so before welding, check that the door card, the window mechanism and your bucket seat do not get in each other’s way.
NASCAR door bars spread a side impact over several tubes, exactly where a drift car gets hit most often.
Why choose this Multipoint E30 Touring V3 NASCAR roll cage?
AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. With curved door tubes, that precision is crucial, because the margin between sill, door and driver is small. On the rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring, this leaves you with usable interior space despite the heavier side protection.
Frequently asked questions
What exactly are NASCAR door bars?
The Multipoint E30 Touring V3 NASCAR has several curved tubes in the door instead of a single straight door bar. That outward curve gives more shoulder room and spreads the energy of a side impact.
Can I keep the original door cards?
That depends on the final position of the tubes. Have your welder measure this up before fitting; a modified or flat panel is often used.
What is the delivery time?
