The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW F87 Coupé V3 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW 2 Series F87 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Multipoint F87 Coupé V3 NASCAR is welded to the bodyshell at ten points and has several curved tubes in the doors instead of a single door bar.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want the side protection of NASCAR door bars but do not need the extra diagonal bar and harness bar of the top-spec version.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. In addition to the welding at the ten points, the door internals also need to be modified, as the curved tubes extend into the door. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so it fits your car exactly.

What does the V3 lack compared with the V4?

The Multipoint F87 Coupé V3 NASCAR has the main hoop with backstays, the front bars to the bulkhead and the door structure. The V4 adds an extra diagonal bar and a harness bar.

Why NASCAR door bars instead of a regular door bar?

Several curved tubes in the door absorb a side impact better than one straight bar, while leaving more room to get in and out.

Does this cage fit an M2 convertible or the G87?

No. This cage is designed only for the two-door coupé of the F87. AST has no convertible version for this model, and the G87, which succeeds the F87, has its own cage that is not interchangeable.
