The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW F87 Coupé V4 is a full roll cage for the BMW 2 Series F87 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Multipoint F87 Coupé V4 differs from the standard weld-in cage in having ten welded mounting points on the bodyshell instead of eight, combined with the full V4 bar package.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for M2 drivers who push their cars hard and want to spread the loads over as many points as possible.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Ten welded mounting points also means ten places where the bodyshell has to be bare and clean; expect the interior to be completely stripped out before the welder starts. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

What is the difference from a standard weld-in cage?

The Multipoint F87 Coupé V4 has ten welded mounting points on the bodyshell, where the standard weld-in version uses eight. The V4 bar package is the same in both cases.

Can the car still be used on the road afterwards?

That depends on the rules in your country and on your insurance. The cage is intended for track and competition use and cannot be removed once fitted; the manufacturer does not state a homologation number for this product, so always check the regulations of your own organiser.

Does this cage fit a convertible or the G87?

No. It has been designed exclusively for the two-door F87 coupé. AST does not offer a convertible version for this model, and its successor, the G87, has its own cage, which is not interchangeable.
