Description
AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan 350Z Z33 Coupé V3 NASCAR door
The Multipoint 350Z V3 NASCAR is a full roll cage for the Nissan 350Z with the Z33 chassis in 3-door coupé bodywork, welded in at ten points and fitted with NASCAR door bars. It combines the most rigid anchorage AST offers with the best-protected door opening.
Each door has several curved tubes instead of one straight bar. They sit close to the door skin and absorb a side impact over the full height of the opening. AST expressly specifies this version for drift use.
Otherwise, the specification level is identical to the multipoint V3: main hoop with backstays and front reinforcement bars to the bulkhead.
Key benefits
- Ten welded mounting points for the best possible load distribution across the bodyshell.
- NASCAR door bars, several curved tubes per door.
- Intended by AST for drifting, where side contact is the biggest risk.
- Front reinforcement bars to the bulkhead.
- 45 mm main hoop in E355 steel, other tubes in 40 mm.
- Gussets included for all ten welded mounting points.
- Laser scan and 3D design, so the tubes fit without endless grinding.
- 71 kg according to AST.

Fitting and delivery
The cage is built to order, with a delivery time of 15 to 35 working days. With a multipoint cage, welded mounting points end up in places where there would normally be trim or insulation; this has to be removed or modified. Add the NASCAR door bars, which largely fill the door opening, and it is clear that this will be a car set up for competition. Have the welding carried out by a fabricator with roll cage experience.
Ten points in the bodyshell, and doors that can take a knock.
Why choose this Multipoint 350Z V3 NASCAR roll cage?
This combination is popular with drivers who mainly use their Z33 for tandem drifting. The ten welded mounting points ensure that the bodyshell itself does not flex, which keeps your set-up predictable, and the NASCAR tubes do their job the moment there is real contact. Here you deliberately forgo the extra harness bar and diagonal of the V4, but opt for the strongest anchorage and the best-protected doors.
Frequently asked questions
What makes this a multipoint cage?
This Multipoint 350Z V3 NASCAR is welded to the bodyshell at ten points, whereas the standard weld-in cage has eight.
What are NASCAR door bars?
Several curved tubes per door instead of a single straight bar. They shield the side over a larger area, which in drifting is the most common direction of impact.
Do I need to modify my interior?
Probably, yes. The extra welded mounting points are sometimes located behind trim or insulation, and with NASCAR bars the door cards usually cannot be refitted.
Does the cage fit a car with headlining?
No. This version is designed for a roof without a sunroof and without headlining.
Is this roll cage homologated?
AST does not list a homologation number for this item. The cage is intended for track and competition use; always check the regulations of your own motorsport organiser before you enter.
What is the delivery time?
The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days.
