The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E30 Touring AWD V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW 3 Series (E30) with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Removable Half Cage E30 Touring AWD V2 is built for the all-wheel-drive E30, the 325iX, and does not fit the rear-wheel-drive E30. Compared with the V1, you get a more extensive set of bars around the rear compartment, still fully removable via connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for 325iX drivers who want more rigidity and more mounting options at the rear than the entry-level version offers.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. First the four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell in the correct position, then the cage is bolted onto them. Allow slightly more fitting time for V2 than for V1, as more tubes have to be put in place.

Does this cage also fit a rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring?

No. The Removable Half Cage E30 Touring AWD V2 is designed for the all-wheel-drive E30, the 325iX. For the rear-wheel-drive E30 Touring, AST offers a separate RWD version with its own part number.

What is the difference from V1?

The V2 has a more extensive set of bars around the rear compartment. The mounting principle stays the same: four bolting points on welded foot plates and connecting sleeves for removing the cage.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.

Where is the cage anchored at the rear?

You specify this when ordering: in the rear suspension area or at the wheel arch. AST builds the cage for the anchorage you choose.
