Description

AST Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan 370Z Z34 Coupé V5 NASCAR door

The Weld-in 370Z V5 NASCAR is a full roll cage for the Nissan 370Z with the Z34 chassis in 3-door Coupé bodywork. It combines the most substantial eight-point level with NASCAR door bars, and AST lists this item as a drift version.

It includes the complete set of bars of the V5, with roof diagonals, extra braces and a harness bar. In the door, this is joined by several curved tubes that fill the opening instead of a single straight door bar.

The structure is permanently welded to the bodyshell at eight points and comes as a weld-in kit with custom-bent tubes, gussets and foot plates.

Key benefits

  • Complete set of bars plus NASCAR door bars, the most complete eight-point level for the Z34.
  • Several curved door tubes, which spread a side impact over a large area.
  • Roof diagonals, so the roof contributes to the structure.
  • Eight welded mounting points for a permanent connection with maximum rigidity.
  • Harness bar for the shoulder straps at the correct height.
  • E355 steel, 45 mm main hoop and 40 mm for the other tubes.
  • V design at the rear, directed towards the rear suspension area.
  • Supplied unpainted, so you can finish it yourself after welding.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is made to order, with a delivery time of 15 to 35 working days. This is a major job: interior out, door cards out, headlining removed and eight points fully welded. The curved door tubes determine how much space is left, so fix the position of the bucket seat and steering wheel before the tubes are permanently in place.

Everything the eight-point range has to offer, plus a door that is completely filled in.

Why choose this Weld-in 370Z V5 NASCAR roll cage?

This is the choice of drivers who run within half a metre of each other in tandem drifts and do not want to rely on it always going well. The complete set of bars ties the bodyshell together and the curved door tubes keep an impact away from the driver. In practical terms, you give up ease of entry and interior trim for it, but on a competition car that is hardly a consideration.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from the regular V5?

The Weld-in 370Z V5 NASCAR has curved NASCAR door tubes instead of a straight door bar. The rest of the set of bars is identical.

Why is this the most expensive eight-point version?

The curved door tubes require extra tube work and more bends, and these come on top of the complete set of bars of the V5.

Will a door card still fit?

Not the original one. In practice, a flat panel or modified trim goes between the tubes.

Does the roof have to come off?

The roof stays in place, but the headlining has to come out for the roof diagonals.

Is this roll cage homologated?

The manufacturer’s documentation for this item does not list a homologation number. This is equipment for track and drift use; check the regulations of your own sporting organisation.

What is the delivery time?

The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days.

Delivery outside the European Union: different shipping costs may apply. Don’t worry: we will email you as soon as possible after your order and agree the shipping with you. You are not committed to anything without your consent.
