Description
AST Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan Silvia S14 Coupé V3
The Weld-in S14 V3 is a full roll cage with eight welded mounting points for the Nissan Silvia S14 Coupé, with front reinforcement bars and door bars. This is the first weld-in cage in the range that also puts steel alongside the driver.
For drifting, that is the point at which a cage becomes genuinely useful. Contact with the wall or another car almost always hits the side, exactly where the door of an S14 has little to offer.
Key benefits
- Door bars: side protection alongside the driver.
- Eight welded mounting points: the cage is permanently welded to the bodyshell.
- Front reinforcement bars: the structure continues through to the bulkhead.
- X-shaped rear structure: the rear section is braced in an X.
- E355 steel: main hoop with a diameter of 45 mm, the rest of the structure 40 mm.
- Custom reinforcement plates: 3 mm thick steel, designed for each specific car rather than as a universal part.
- Exact fit: the bodyshell is digitised with laser scanners before the cage is designed in 3D.
- Complete weld-in kit: gussets, reinforcement plates, mounting hardware, documentation, fitting instructions and a sticker set.
Suitable for
Nissan Silvia S14, 2-door coupé
- Nissan Silvia S14 Coupé, known in some markets as the 200SX or 240SX
- Type: full roll cage, weld-in, version V3
- Drifting, track use and competitions
This cage is designed around the two-door S14. This version is anchored in the rear suspension area and is made for a roof without a sunroof and without headlining. Door bars make getting in and out tighter.

Fitting and delivery
The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The weld-in kit is assembled inside the car and welded at eight points. The door cards have to come out, as does the dashboard for the front bars. Decide on your seat position before the final welding is done. This cage is intended for track and competition use; check the regulations of your own sporting organisation beforehand.
From this version onwards, there is steel between you and the barrier, not just above and behind you.
Why choose this Weld-in S14 V3?
Side protection is what drifters need most often and put off the longest. The V3 combines door bars with a welded-in structure, so the force of any contact is absorbed directly by the bodyshell. You have less room than in a V1 or V2, but you do get the version that genuine competition use calls for.
Frequently asked questions

Yes, for the S14 AST offers NASCAR versions of the V4 and V5 in this range.
Can this cage be removed later?
No, it is permanently welded to the bodyshell.
What is the delivery time?
The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days, as AST builds every cage to order.
