Installation and delivery
You fit the E36 E38 E90 camber plates in place of the standard upper strut mounts. Remove the strut, take the load off the spring with a spring compressor, fit the camber plate on top and put the strut back in the tower. Then slide the strut in the slotted holes to the desired position and tighten everything. Use thread-locking compound on the bolts in the slotted holes.
After adjusting, the car must always be aligned. A different camber also affects the toe-in, and without an alignment your tyres wear quickly and the car feels unsettled.
See all versions in our camber plates category. If you want to adjust the caster as well as the camber, the 3D camber plates for the E36, E38 and E90 are a logical choice.

If you set the camber yourself, you decide how the front end goes through the corner.
Why choose E36 E38 E90 camber plates for your BMW?
These E36 E38 E90 camber plates combine a sturdy aluminium plate with a maintenance-free bearing and fasteners that stay put. Once set, you do not need to look at them again. Whether you are building an E36 for drifting, an E90 for trackdays or lowering an E38: you get more grip in the corner and the wheel position you want.
Frequently asked questions
Do these E36 E38 E90 camber plates fit my BMW?
Yes, they fit the E36 and E36 Compact, the E90, E92 and E93, and the 7 Series E38.
How many plates do I get?
You get a set of two, for front left and right. That is exactly enough for the complete front axle of a BMW E36 E38 E90.
What kind of bearing is fitted?
A maintenance-free stainless steel fluro bearing with reduced play.
Do I need a wheel alignment after fitting?
Yes, always. A changed camber calls for a new wheel alignment.
Can I also adjust the caster?
No, with this version you adjust the camber. For caster there is a 3D version.
Is this also something for a lowered road car?
Definitely. After lowering a BMW E36 E38 E90, the camber often changes by itself. With these E36 E38 E90 camber plates you bring the position of the front wheels back under control, so the tyres wear more evenly.
