The BC Racing ER coilover kit M3 E92 EDC (part number I-13-ER) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW M3 E90 and E92 with EDC (electronic damper control), model years 2006 to 2013; according to BC Racing, an EDC delete kit is required. The spring rate is 8 kg/mm front and 14 kg/mm rear.

The ER series is BC Racing’s 2-way coilover kit for serious track and competition use. For the M3 E90 and E92 with EDC it comes with firmer springs: 8 kg/mm front and 14 kg/mm rear.

You set compression and rebound independently, each in 30 clicks. The monotube damper has a double piston, an external reservoir and fully synthetic oil with a very high viscosity index. With this kit too, BC Racing specifies an EDC delete kit for an M3 with EDC, which BC Racing does not sell.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original EDC dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic, including mounting the reservoirs. Please note: according to BC Racing UK, an EDC delete kit is required on an M3 with EDC. BC Racing does not sell that kit; it is therefore not included with this coilover kit and must be purchased separately. After adjusting the height, have the wheel alignment set again. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing does not have the kit in stock, you can still order and we will let you know the expected delivery date.

Why choose this ER coilover kit M3 E92 EDC?

With the ER you set bump and rebound on your M3 separately, which helps to fine-tune the car for each circuit. The 8/14 kg/mm springs are firmer than those of the BR and DS for this version. On an M3 with EDC, do not forget the EDC delete kit: BC Racing specifies it but does not supply it.

What is the difference between the BC Racing ER and ZX coilover kits for the M3 E92 with EDC?

The ER is 2-way adjustable with springs of 8/14 kg/mm, the ZX is 3-way with springs of 6/12 kg/mm. With the ZX you set the compression separately for low and high speed. Both have an external reservoir and, on an M3 with EDC, require an EDC delete kit.

Which BC Racing ER kit fits my BMW M3 E90 or E92: I-13-ER or I-39-ER?

That depends on the EDC: if your M3 has electronic damper control, the I-13-ER is the right one and you need an EDC delete kit; without EDC you choose the I-39-ER, which has springs of 8/16 kg/mm for this car. If you see an EDC button on the centre console, your M3 usually has EDC; if in doubt, contact us.

No. BC Racing specifies the EDC delete kit for the ER coilover kit M3 E92 EDC, but does not sell that kit. So you purchase it separately.

Does the BC Racing ER coilover kit I-13 fit an M3 Sedan, Coupe or Convertible?

It fits the M3 E90 Sedan and E92 Coupe with EDC, but not the M3 Convertible E93. For the Convertible, BC Racing has separate kits.
