The MTS Stance Z3 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW Z3 E36 Coupe and Roadster, model years 1995 to 2003. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Note for the MTS Stance Z3 Inox: not suitable for the M3. Axle load: maximum 830 kg front and maximum 870 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Stance Z3 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

With the MTS Stance Z3 Inox you choose the lowest possible car with direct, firm handling; the stiffer springs keep the body steady, even with a large lowering. If you also drive in winter or the car is parked outside, the Inox version pays for itself: stainless steel doesn’t rust, so the thread of the height adjustment doesn’t seize up. Does this kit also fit an M3?

No. The MTS Stance Z3 Inox is made for the BMW Z3 E36 Coupe and Roadster, but not for the M3. MTS Technik has its own kit for the M3.

What is the difference between Street and Stance?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Street (50 and 46-90.1 N/mm) and Stance (80 and 100 N/mm). Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.

How long does delivery take?
