Description
The MTS Street E30 Inox is a height-adjustable weld-in insert kit (coilover) from MTS Technik for the BMW E30 Sedan, Cabrio and Touring, model years 1982 to 1994. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness.
On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance. This is a weld-in insert kit: the original front struts are shortened and welded.
Key benefits

- Lower by 25 to 90 mm, front and rear independently adjustable
- Eibach springs of 60 N/mm front and 46 to 90.1 N/mm rear

Fitting and delivery
To fit the MTS Street E30 Inox, the original front struts are shortened and welded as described in the manual. Have this done by an experienced mechanic or welder.
- The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
- When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
- Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
- After fitting the MTS Street E30 Inox, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.
Delivery: 4 to 7 working days while manufacturer stock lasts.
The MTS Street E30 Inox combines stainless steel damper bodies, Eibach springs of 60 and 46-90.1 N/mm and up to 90 mm of lowering for the BMW E30 Sedan, Convertible and Touring.
Why choose the MTS Street E30 Inox?
With the MTS Street E30 Inox you choose the setup MTS Technik itself recommends as standard: enough lowering for a tight stance, and a character that doesn’t become tiring on the road. If you also drive in winter or the car is parked outside, the Inox version pays for itself: stainless steel doesn’t rust, so the thread of the height adjustment doesn’t seize up. If you mainly drive in summer, the Gold version is a more affordable alternative. With the included camber plates you set the camber, which with a large lowering means less tyre wear and more grip.
Frequently asked questions
Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (325iX) version?
No. The MTS Street E30 Inox is made for the rear-wheel-drive versions.
What is the difference between Comfort, Street and Stance?
All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (50 and 46-90.1 N/mm), Street (60 and 46-90.1 N/mm) and Stance (80 and 260 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.
What is the difference between Gold and Inox?
Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
How long does delivery take?
The MTS Street E30 Inox is delivered within 4 to 7 working days as long as the manufacturer has stock.
