Description
BC Racing ZR coilover kit BMW M3 E90/E92 Sedan/Coupe without EDC (06-13) 8/16 kg/mm
The BC Racing ZR coilover kit M3 E92 (part number I-39-ZR) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW M3 E90 and E92 without EDC, model years 2006 to 2013. The spring rate is 8 kg/mm front and 16 kg/mm rear.
For an M3 E90 or E92 without EDC that is mainly used in competition, there is the ZR from BC Racing, the series for competitive motorsport. This version has springs of 8 kg/mm front and 16 kg/mm rear.
The dampers have a twin piston and an external reservoir that you mount on the chassis or on the damper body, connected with braided steel lines. The damping is 3-way adjustable and you set the ride height completely independently of the spring preload.
Key benefits
- 3-way damping: 20 clicks low-speed compression, 12 clicks high-speed compression and 30 clicks rebound.
- Reservoir on chassis or damper body: with braided steel lines.
- Height completely independent of the spring preload: you set both separately.
- Spring rate 8/16 kg/mm: the same as the ER kit for the M3 without EDC.
- Digressive with twin piston: and synthetic oil.
- Camber plates on suitable kits: rubber top mounts optional.
- Rebuildable: the dampers can be rebuilt.
Suitable for
BMW M3 E90 Sedan (2006 to 2013) and M3 E92 Coupe (2007 to 2013) without EDC (electronic damper control); not for the M3 with EDC, the M3 Convertible E93 and the non-M 3 Series
- Competitions and competitive motorsport with an M3
- Track cars that rarely go on the road
- Setups with the reservoirs on the chassis

Fitting and delivery
The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by a mechanic with experience in motorsport suspension, also for positioning the reservoirs and lines. BC Racing advises periodic greasing of the RM and ZR series and recommends them less for road use than the BR, DS, ER or ZX. According to BC Racing UK, this version may require a plug-in kit to prevent an error message; feel free to ask us for advice. After adjustment, have the wheel alignment reset. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing does not have the kit in stock, you can still order and we will keep you informed.
The BC Racing ZR kit I-39-ZR for the BMW M3 E90 and E92 without EDC is 3-way adjustable and has springs of 8 kg/mm front and 16 kg/mm rear.
Why choose this ZR coilover kit M3 E92?
With the ZR you set up an M3 without EDC for competitive motorsport. The 3-way adjustment, the flexibly positioned reservoirs and the ride height that is completely independent of the spring preload give plenty of room to tune the car for each circuit. If you also drive a lot on the road, choose the BR, DS, ER or ZX; BC Racing recommends the ZR less for road use.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the BC Racing ZR and ER coilover kits for the BMW M3 E92 without EDC?
The ZR is 3-way adjustable, the ER 2-way; for the M3 without EDC both have springs of 8/16 kg/mm. With the ZR you set the ride height completely independently of the spring preload and you can place the reservoirs on the chassis or the damper body. BC Racing advises periodic greasing of the ZR.
Should I take the BC Racing ZR kit I-39 or I-13 for my BMW M3 E90/E92?
Take the I-39-ZR if your M3 does not have EDC and the I-13-ZR if it does have EDC. According to BC Racing, the I-13 requires an EDC delete kit, which BC Racing does not sell. An EDC button on the centre console usually means the car has EDC; if in doubt, contact us and we will check it with you.
Is the BC Racing ZR coilover kit for the M3 without EDC intended for the road?
No. BC Racing recommends the ZR less for road use than the BR, DS, ER or ZX; the ZR coilover kit M3 E92 is made for competitive motorsport.
Does the BC Racing ZR coilover kit I-39 fit the M3 Convertible E93?
No, only the M3 E90 Sedan and the M3 E92 Coupe without EDC. For the M3 Convertible E93, BC Racing has separate kits.
What is the delivery time of the BC Racing ZR coilover kit for the M3 without EDC?
The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If the kit is temporarily sold out, you can still order and we will let you know when it comes in.
