The BC Racing ZR coilover kit M3 M4 F80 3-bolt (part number I-49-ZR) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW M3 F80 and M4 F82 with rear-wheel drive and front top mounts with 3 bolts, model years 2014 to 2020. The spring rate is 6 kg/mm front and 13 kg/mm rear.

The ZR series is the BC Racing kit for competitive motorsport. It is 3-way adjustable, with 20 clicks of low-speed compression, 12 clicks of high-speed compression and 30 clicks of rebound, and the ride height can be set completely independently of the spring preload.

BC Racing builds the ZR as an inverted monotube on MacPherson struts and as an upright monotube on double wishbones, always with a twin piston, synthetic oil and an external reservoir that can be mounted on the body or the damper body. This kit is for the M3 F80 and M4 F82 with a front top mount with 3 bolts.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic, and check beforehand whether the front top mount is fixed with 3 bolts. BC Racing advises periodic greasing of the RM and ZR series and recommends them less for road use than the BR, DS, ER or ZX. After adjustment, have the car’s wheel alignment redone. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If the manufacturer temporarily does not have the kit in stock, you can still order and we will give you the expected delivery date.
