The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage Nissan Skyline R32 Coupé V2 is a full roll cage for the Nissan Skyline R32 with two-door coupé body, bolted in on six points. This Bolt-in Roll Cage R32 V2 is supplied in sections with FIA sleeve connections and assembled in the car, so it can come out again later.

Compared to the V1, extra tubing is added and the rear gets a structure in X-design. The diagonals cross behind the main hoop and keep the wheel arches better in place, exactly where an R32 has to put down its torque.

Installation and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six base plates are welded to the body, after which the cage is assembled in sections and bolted in. Allow a little more installation time than for the V1, because there is more tubing to fit in the car. On an R32, check beforehand that the mounting areas are free of rust, especially around the rear wheel arches. Re-tighten the bolted joints after the first drives and regularly after that. This cage is intended for circuit and competition use; check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation beforehand.

What is the difference with the Bolt-in V1?

The Bolt-in Roll Cage R32 V2 has extra tubing and a rear structure in X-design. The number of mounting points stays at six and, as with the V1, the anchoring runs to the rear suspension area.

Is bolt-in as strong as a weld-in cage?

A well-executed bolt-in cage is strong, but a weld-in cage spreads the forces over the whole body instead of over six points. With bolt-in you also have to keep checking the bolted joints.

Does it fit a GT-R?

Yes, as long as it is a coupé. The cage sits in the interior and has nothing to do with the four-wheel drive.
