The big brake kit Focus Mk3 from V-Maxx is a complete brake kit for the front axle of the Ford Focus III (DYB) and the Focus ST 250, model years 07-2010 to 12-2017. The kit consists of 330 mm two-piece, grooved brake discs, 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, V-Maxx sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses.

Whether you take a Focus ST 250 to the track or build up a Focus III as a track day car: this kit gives more braking power and keeps the braking behaviour consistent for much longer under repeated hard braking. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer. TÜV per application: only the applications without the note “no TÜV” have a TÜV certificate according to §19.3. For the Focus III 1.6 EcoBoost and the 2.0 TDCi, V-Maxx has no TÜV approval.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and observe the tightening torques given in those instructions. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses 500 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set, a different caliper colour (red RAL 3020 as standard; black, blue or yellow at extra cost) and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
