The big brake kit Golf 3 290 with knuckles from V-Maxx is the version for the Golf III and Vento with PCD 4×100 where the original steering knuckle is not suitable: you get 290 mm two-piece brake discs, 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium and also new steering knuckles, wheel bearings and wheel hubs.

This way you convert the front axle in one go to a performance brake kit that delivers more braking power and suffers much less from fade under repeated hard braking. The kit already fits behind 15 inch wheels.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the brake kit and the new steering knuckles, wheel bearings and wheel hubs according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The original steering knuckles are not needed with this version, because new knuckles are included in the delivery. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap and do not use wheel cleaner: it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Optionally available: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

One delivery with everything included: steering knuckles, wheel bearings, wheel hubs and a 290 mm brake kit with four pistons per caliper for the Golf III and Vento.
