This big brake kit Tarraco 355 mm from V-Maxx is a performance brake kit for the front axle of the Seat Tarraco, with 355 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.

The Tarraco is a spacious SUV, and on a heavy car in particular, brake temperatures rise quickly under repeated hard braking. On this V-Maxx kit, the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel. Together with the directional cooling channels in the discs, the kit therefore cools down much faster and the braking performance stays consistent.

The kit is intended for the Tarraco KN with aluminium steering knuckles and Ø55 mm front shock absorbers, from 77 to 228 kW. V-Maxx supplies it ready to fit with sport brake pads with TÜV approval, vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses, a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and a 2-year warranty.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Tarraco 355 mm according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles, in this case the aluminium knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; clean it with mild soap. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

As an option, we supply V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 355 and 365 mm kits for the Tarraco?

Both kits have 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium and the same application. The big brake kit Tarraco 355 mm fits wheels from 18 inch; the 365 mm kit (20 SE365 03) has a larger disc and requires at least 19 inch.

Is the big brake kit Tarraco 355 mm suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. A Tarraco with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 355 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Does the kit fit every Tarraco?

The kit fits the Tarraco KN with aluminium steering knuckle and Ø55 mm shock absorber clamp, from 77 to 228 kW. The requirement is that the car has original brake discs of at least Ø288 mm at the front and Ø271 mm at the rear.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
