With the big brake kit Touran 1T 365 mm, you fit the largest brake kit V-Maxx makes for the Volkswagen Touran I (1T): 365 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium for the front axle.

This version is intended for a Touran on 19 inch wheels or larger. The large disc gives more braking torque, the six pistons per caliper spread the pressure over the brake pad and the aluminium parts get rid of their heat quickly. Together, this ensures braking performance that stays consistent under repeated hard braking.

The kit includes V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and the vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect. V-Maxx Autosport from the Netherlands supplies the kit with TÜV approval according to §19.3 and a 2-year warranty, so you can also drive it on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, using the tightening torques stated in those instructions. The big brake kit Touran 1T 365 mm is only intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium.

Optional: V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference from the 355 mm kit for the Touran 1T?

The big brake kit Touran 1T 365 mm has a larger disc and therefore more braking torque, but requires wheels of at least 19 inch. The 355 mm kit (20 VW355 13) fits from 18 inch. Both are equipped with forged 6-piston calipers and have TÜV approval.

Why does the kit click when changing direction of travel?

V-Maxx deliberately gives the brake pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play, so they do not seize at high temperatures. When you change direction of travel, the pads move across that distance, which produces a short click. That is normal.

Does V-Maxx also supply a rear axle kit for the Touran?

No, a rear axle kit is not part of the V-Maxx range. Around 90% of the braking power comes from the front axle, and that is what this kit is made for.

How do I clean the big brake kit Touran 1T 365 mm?

Use a mild soap and water. Wheel cleaner is not suitable, because it attacks the aluminium of the calipers and bells.
