Description
Aluminium Fuel Tank with Swirl Pot for Race, Rally and Drift
With this fuel tank swirl pot set and the right pumps, you build a complete motorsport fuel system. You get an aluminium tank of about 38 litres together with an aluminium swirl pot. With external fuel pumps added, this combination is designed to keep the engine fully supplied with fuel, even under high g-forces.
The set is made for drift, time attack, rally and quarter-mile sprints. Especially during long drifts, hard braking and fast corners, the fuel sloshes away from the pickup. The swirl pot then holds a small reserve, so that the pump does not suck in air.

Installation and delivery
You place the tank and the swirl pot separately in the car, usually in the boot. Bolt the tank to a sturdy base via the 10 mm holes in the mounting feet. A common layout is: a low-pressure pump from the tank to the swirl pot, and a high-pressure pump from the swirl pot to the engine, with the return going back to the swirl pot or tank. If the plumbing is not clear, a plumbing diagram is available on request.
When fitting a fuel tank swirl pot system, use fuel-resistant hoses and good clamps or fittings on the 8 mm connections. Check the regulations of your class: a firewall between tank and cockpit and proper venting are often mandatory.
You will find more tanks and parts in our fuel tanks category. If you only need a tank, take a look at our aluminium fuel tank without swirl pot.

The engine has to get fuel, even when the car is sideways: that is what a fuel tank swirl pot system is for.
