OBP Drift Aluminium Hydraulic Handbrake

An aluminium hydraulic handbrake with a skeleton design, fitted with an OBP master cylinder. You connect it to the car’s brake system, after which one pull on the lever locks the rear wheels. Exactly what you need to initiate a drift or take a rally corner more tightly.

This aluminium hydraulic handbrake has no reservoir on the pump. That makes it compact and light: 1280 grams including the pump. It is universal and intended for motorsport cars, especially for drifting and rally.

Installation and delivery

There are two ways to connect the handbrake. You include it in the existing brake system, or you use it to build an independent, additional brake circuit with its own rear calipers. For the latter, separate adapters are available that make installation easier, such as the E36 adapter for extra brake calipers.

Plan in advance where the aluminium hydraulic handbrake will be positioned. The lever has to be close to the steering wheel so that you can grab it without changing your seating position. Also make sure there is room for the lines under and next to the base.

To connect the brake lines you need fittings with 3/8″ UNF and 7/16″ UNF thread. These are not included with the handbrake. Fix the handbrake to a solid surface using the mounting holes in the base and bleed the system thoroughly before you go on track.
