The 280Z V1 full roll cage is a full cage for the Nissan 280Z with S30 chassis in 3-door coupé bodywork. Unlike a half cage, this structure extends into the front compartment, so the whole bodyshell starts to work as a single unit.

This V1 is the entry level in the full cage range: main hoop with braces, extended forwards and secured at six points. Intended for drivers who are building up their S30 properly for track and drift use.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order, with a delivery time of 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are first welded to the bodyshell, then the structure is bolted onto them; welding is therefore part of the job. Thanks to the laser scan and the 3D design, the tubes fit snugly against the pillars and the floorpan.

A full cage turns a fifty-year-old bodyshell back into one cohesive whole.

With a half cage, the front of the car still flexes. Extending the structure to the bulkhead takes that movement out, which you feel immediately in how the nose responds to steering corrections. This V1 is the most accessible version of it, without door bars or extra diagonals.
