The AST Multipoint Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E21 Coupé V5 is a full roll cage for the BMW 3 Series E21 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Multipoint E21 Coupé V5 is the highest specification in the range and comes with the complete set of bars, welded in at ten points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for anyone building up their E21 as a full competition car who wants every last bar included.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly. Expect the car to be stripped during the build: the interior, trim and sound insulation have to come out before a professional starts welding.

The V5 leaves nothing out: the complete set of bars on ten welded mounting points turns the E21 into a fully fledged competition car.

If your version is not on that list, your car is not automatically covered; have this confirmed in advance by your sporting authority.

Is the Multipoint E21 Coupé V5 too heavy for road use?

According to the manufacturer’s figure, the cage weighs 71 kg and fills a large part of the interior. That is fine for a competition car, but for a car you use every day, a lighter version from this range is often more practical.
