The BC Racing BR coilover kit E30 Touring True Rear (part number I-163-BR-RH) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW 3 Series E30 Touring with 51 mm front struts, in the True Rear version and in BC Racing’s weld-in version, which requires welding for fitting. The spring rate is 5.5 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

From the factory, the E30 Touring has a separate spring and a separate damper at the rear. With this True Rear kit the spring also sits around the damper at the rear, just like at the front, so you adjust the height of the rear in the same way as the front.

The BR series is BC Racing’s all-rounder, with linear monotube dampers and 30-click damping adjustment. This kit comes with pillowball top mounts or camber plates front and rear. It is a weld-in version, and for True Rear BC Racing specifies that the body shell is reinforced beforehand; have both carried out by a specialist.

Fitting and delivery

This kit replaces the original front struts and the separate springs and dampers at the rear. It is a weld-in kit: welding is required for fitting, and that work belongs with a specialist. Please note: BC Racing specifies that with a True Rear kit the body shell must be reinforced before fitting. Have the wheel alignment done as soon as the Touring is at its ride height, because camber and toe change as well. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has the kit out of stock, you can still order and we will keep you informed of the delivery date.

BC Racing only releases this kit for the E30 Touring. For the E30 Sedan there are separate True Rear kits with 45 mm and 51 mm struts (I-33 and I-32). If you have a Coupe or Convertible, please contact us first.
