BMW E46 Dual Caliper Brackets Bolt-On Version for Hydraulic Handbrake

With these E46 dual caliper brackets, your hydraulic handbrake gets its own brake caliper on both rear wheels of your BMW E46. This way the handbrake works completely independently of the footbrake, even when you use both at the same time.

The set consists of two brackets, for left and right. They are bolted to the control arm with the supplied bolts and secured with thread-locking compound, so no welding is required. The rear axle ABS sensor does have to be removed for this. The brackets fit all E46 versions except the M3 and the 3.0 versions; for those we have a separate adapter.

Fitting and delivery

Always choose the additional caliper in the same brake specification as fitted to your car. If, for example, you have the brakes of a 1.8 with a solid brake disc, you also need a caliper for that disc. Remove the ABS sensor, bolt the brackets to the control arm and secure the bolts. On some control arms, the control arm or the bracket has to be ground down slightly. With vented brake discs, the pads of the additional caliper may not contact the disc over its full surface; this does not affect how it works. If you are unsure about the fit, please contact us.
