AST Removable Full Roll Cage Nissan 370Z Z34 Coupé V3

The Full Roll Cage 370Z V3 is a full roll cage for the Nissan 370Z with the Z34 chassis in 3-door coupé bodywork. On top of what V2 already offers, door bars are added here. This means the driver is protected not only in a rollover, but also in a side impact.

The structure remains removable. AST supplies the tubes separately with connecting sleeves, so the cage goes into the car in sections and can be dismantled again later.

This is the more substantial of the two removable full-cage levels for the Z34. If you outgrow this level, the welded-in families are the next step.

Fitting and delivery

This cage is built to order, with a delivery time of 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, after which the structure is bolted onto them. Bear in mind that the door bars make the entry narrower, so choose your bucket seat and harnesses accordingly. The dimensions come from a 3D design based on a laser scan of the Z34.

The most substantial removable version for the Z34: door bars added, and it still comes apart with a spanner.

Why choose this 370Z V3 full roll cage?

As soon as you start competing, side protection becomes a serious consideration. Door bars cost a little comfort and ease of entry, but give a lot in return. Because this Full Roll Cage 370Z V3 remains removable, you do not have to switch straight away to a permanently welded-in construction to get it.

What does V3 add compared with V2?

Door bars in the doors. Otherwise, the layout of the Full Roll Cage 370Z V3 is identical to V2, with the main hoop, the rear structure and the bars to the bulkhead.

Can I still get in and out normally?

It is a good deal tighter than standard. Expect to climb in over the door bar, as with any cage with side tubes.

Is any welding required?

Yes. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell; the cage itself is then bolted in place.

Is this the most comprehensive cage for the Z34?

Among the removable full cages, yes. If you want to go further, you move on to the welded-in 8-point and 10-point versions.

Is this roll cage homologated?

The manufacturer’s documentation for this item does not list a homologation number. Use the cage as track and competition equipment and check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation.
