AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW 2002 V1

The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW 2002 V1 is a full roll cage for the BMW 2002 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Weld-in BMW 2002 V1 is the entry level of the weld-in range: a 45 mm main hoop with two backstays, supplemented by the bars that brace the hoop at the front, all welded into the bodyshell at eight points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers of a classic compact two-door BMW who want to use their car in historic motorsport without compromising on safety.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. A weld-in cage is permanent and should be fitted by an experienced welder: the interior has to come out and the mounting points must be bare metal and free of rust before a single seam is welded.

The V1 is the lightest weld-in version for the BMW 2002 and, with eight welded mounting points, provides a solid safety foundation.
