BMW E30 E36 Compact Rear Subframe Differential Mount Reinforcement

This E30 E36 Compact differential mount reinforcement strengthens the point where the differential is mounted on the rear subframe. On high-power or heavily drifted projects this is exactly the spot that gives way, and a cracked subframe means the immediate end of the project.

The kit is intended both to repair damage and to prevent it. Ideally, weld it on before you refit the rear subframe under the car; during a build it is usually out anyway. The panels are laser-cut from 3 mm thick S355 steel and folded on CNC press brakes.

Fitting and delivery

The reinforcement is welded onto the rear subframe. Preferably do this with the subframe removed from the car, so you can reach everything easily and lay down a neat weld. Have the work carried out by an experienced welder and protect the whole assembly against rust afterwards. Delivery time is 1 to 2 days.
